In the Ricetto di Candelo medieval hamlet, eerie and elusive characters are found: dancing artist from the Circus. The spectator will be brought on a new and unusual journey inside one of Italy most renowned hamlets.

The hands of the artist, Aldo Dolcetti, flip through 7 notebooks he has drawn over the course of a year. At the beginning of each one is associated a phrase that appears overlaid and represents the artist's thought that reflects on his idea of art and professional life. Since drawing is Aldo Dolcetti's personal training.
The video was specially made for the exhibition RESOCONTO by Aldo Dolcetti, scheduled at the Galleria Zabert in Turin from March 29 to May 10th 2019.
The exhibition, curated by Luca Beatrice, is a selection taken from the rich repertoire of drawings by Aldo Dolcetti, former footballer and coach, now "technical collaborator", as he likes to define himself, of Massimiliano Allegri, the Juventus coach.
Aldo, among the many trips, after each workout, stares at his notebook as an emotional account of what his gaze rested on. The exhibition catalog is by VisualGrafika - designed by Luca Roux.

The Borsalino hat is an icon created by the stylish film noir. During Hollywood’s golden years, everyone wore a Borsalino. What few people know is that these hats were made in Alessandria, a provincial town in Northern Italy, in a factory headed by the same family for over 120 years. It all started with Giuseppe Borsalino who, after having obtained the title of «maître Chapelier» in Paris in 1857, opened the first hat workshop in Alessandria. In a noir movies style we will tell the story of a family, a community of workers and a town. BORSALINO CITY, the history of the most popular hat in the world.

Jacob arrived in Italy alone from French Guinea when he was 11 years old. Today he is 27, and hip hop music is his whole world: itishis way to express dreams, hopes and frustrations, and to not feel part of the "ghetto" any longer. He liveson the outskirts of Turin, where, by day, together with other young migrants who are part of his band "Ghetto PSA", he writes songs and makes music. At night, he worksas an educator in a centre for asylum seekers. This "double life" leads him to reflect on his own identity, as a young Italian who speaks three languages, but who does notforget who he is and where he has come from. And a man who unknowingly reopened a wound in my personal life; made me doubt some difficult stances I had taken. This documentary is the story of the Mecca’s players, of their remedy for the ills of daily life, through the sport and through their community.

MI POGOLOTTI QUERIDO (MY BELOVED POGOLOTTI) “My Pogolotti Querido” tells the story of the fortunate migration by Dino Pogolotti, born in Giaveno (Italy), leaving his own country at the end of the Ninetieth Century to join Cuba via New York. In the Caribbean island, Pogolotti will become a real estate entrepreneur, developing in 1911 what is still known today as the “Barrio Pogolotti”. It is a working-class neighborhood, based on the European social housing model, and characterized by an autonomous afro-Caribbean cultural identity. This family tale will continue between both sides of the Atlantic ocean, with Marcelo, talented avant-garde painter during the ‘30s, and the granddaughter Graciela, pivotal intellectual of today’s Cuba. The domestic saga will intersect with the history of Havana city and the Barrio, depicted through its residents portraits.

UNA Film has produced the video documentation of the dance performances included in the program “PerCorpi Visionari”, a project designed by Mariachiara Raviola, Lucia De Rienzo and Antonella Cirigliano. “PerCorpi Visionari” was born as a project of territorial cooperation between the Fondazione Teatro Coccia of Novara, Associazione Didee and COORPI - Coordinamento Danza Piemonte of Torino, Associazione LIS Lab Performing Arts of Meina (Novara) and the Swiss partners: Fondazione La Fabbrica di Losone and Associazione LitroCentimetro of Bellinzona. The project was supported by the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and Fondazione Monte Verità di Ascona. On the occasion of one hundred years after Rudolf von Laban'sarrivalat Monte Verità, PerCorpi Visionari interrogated the deep meaning of artistic research and in particular the languages that in habit high-visionare as such as dance and performance. Thresholds through which operators and critics have met, artists and territory have spoken over the barriers of identity, costume, and age.

Martin Zimmermann, director of the company Anomalie, expresses his fascination for circus as deriving from a childhood dream: to say “let’s go to the circus” is like saying “let the dream begin”. From this fantastic and oniric dimension the documentary proceeds to narrate the new age of circus, which being still at an early stage escapes a precise definition. The mingling of life and art brings the circus artists to put on stage their own lives. Through interviews the documentary goes deep into the protagonists’ life’s choice, which implies a total commitment to circus: Arnault, for instance, the juggler and tightrope walker who, having gained too much weight, decides to turn to the art of “affabulation” and speech, since circus is not a sport but precisely a form of art; or else Marlene, the trapezist who could experience how difficult it is to be an acrobat and a woman. However, a question is hovering over the whole film: can contemporary circus still be called “circus”? Is it theatre? Is it dance? Is it live music? And if it is not circus, what is it at all?
